Hi and welcome to my blog!
My name is Ola and I’m a portrait photographer who is completely in love with the great outdoors. I offer the most unique and the greenest (non-plastic) backdrops available. So, the idea of parks serving us all, is dear to me… :-)
Except for photography, I like a good book… being spontaneous and mindful!
I’ve recently had the pleasure of attending some of the events organised by Rowntree Park and recorded some of the marvellous Make Space for Girls Project.
Today, I wanted to invite you to grab a cuppa and enjoy the photos from the day with The Dancefloor Project by Bolshee Creative Projects that I had the pleasure to get to know on the day! You will see Abigail, the park’s manager joining the girls on the dance floor and many more fun photos!
The magic happened… in-between…
In-between dancing, skateboarding or simply chatting, the visitors had an opportunity to express their wishes & desires! The girls noted them on handy sparkly boards! What a great idea to provoke the birth of new ideas! Before you JUMP into any conclusions, I wonder if you would agree with the below…

Many of us want similar outcomes!
I noticed that many of the wishes, dreams and demands stated by girls are exactly what I wish to capture for the lovely families who choose me as their photographer: parents with kids enjoying their parks, swinging (despite being older), enjoying their friendships, going on picnics, having a great time no matter the age or sex!
Feeling relaxed and safe while surrounded with foliage, which brings harmony back into people’s lives. Parks should be designed for the whole community in mind - somewhere where people make friends, develop, grow old, relax, share their moments together… Yes, the idea of parks that are more inviting for girls (and for everyone) is very close to my heart!
